Moving a wedding function by thirty minutes rarely costs money directly, but it touches nearly every moving part of the day at once: the couple, the vendors, the drivers, and every family who already planned their own thirty minutes around the old time. The guests are the worst case. Two hundred families don't have a phone number for the venue coordinator. They have a WhatsApp message sent once, days ago, or nothing at all. A delay that everyone on-site knows about within five minutes can take an hour to reach the family that's still driving toward the old start time.
A big decision, like moving the venue or changing the guest count, gets planned for weeks and everyone involved expects to coordinate around it. That's exactly backwards: the smaller and more casual the decision, the more likely it is that half the people it affects never hear about it in time to adjust.
