How much does a digital wedding invitation cost in India?
A digital wedding invitation in India can cost nothing at all or a few thousand rupees, and the price mostly tracks one question: does it only show the invitation, or does it also collect replies and keep guests up to date? A picture or a video you forward is a one-way announcement. A link-based invitation, like ShaadiMode's, starts free and costs ₹2,999 or ₹6,999 once per wedding when you want each family addressed by name and the replies organised for you.

Image cards and template videos are often free or cheap, and they are fine for a small wedding where you will count replies yourself. The cost shows up later, in the time spent reading back through hundreds of chats to work out who is coming to which function, and in the second and third messages when a timing changes.

Compared with printed cards
Printed card prices vary too much to quote a single number, so do the arithmetic with your own quote: multiply the price per card, including the box or envelope, by the number of families, then add delivery or courier for the out-of-town ones. As an illustration only, at ₹80 a card for 250 families the cards alone are ₹20,000 before courier. Many families still print a small run for elders and send everyone else a link, which is a sensible split.
What is worth paying for
- Per-family links, if different families are invited to different functions. Otherwise the office colleagues see the haldi.
- Replies per person with meal choices, if you have a caterer asking for numbers.
- Updates that reach everyone, if your functions are spread over several days and something will move.
- None of it, if the wedding is small and everyone is in one family group. Use the free plan and keep your money.
