Wedding invitation songs · Bollywood-style
For a Bollywood feel, Gaana Invite has three original songs in that style: Mahal Romance, a romantic duet; 90s Wali Shaadi, a 1990s-style throwback; and Yaaron Ki Shaadi, a bhangra-pop party song for friends. None is a film song. Each is sung with your names, and every guest's copy calls them by name.
Sample film: Mahal Romance, made for a sample family.
A film song belongs to its label, and it cannot be sung again with your names, your families and your dates. ShaadiMode's ten songs are original music written in the styles people know from films and folk, and every one is sung for your wedding.
Mahal Romance is a male and female duet in the Bollywood romantic style, set in a palace of marigolds and lanterns. It is the slowest and most cinematic of the ten.
90s Wali Shaadi has the big melody and playful back-and-forth of a 1990s film duet, with shehnai flourishes, painted like the hand-drawn posters of that decade. Aana zaroor, bhool na jaana.
Yaaron Ki Shaadi is the loud one: dhol, tumbi and a crowd shouting back, Hindi words on a bhangra beat, written for friends.
In every song, a voice calls the guest by name in the break after the first verse, then the song carries on. Each guest's film keeps only the functions they are invited to, and the details sit under the film.
For each guest
A WhatsApp message from the couple with a link to their song.
One tap: the film plays with sound, in their phone's browser.
The song stops and a voice calls them by name.
Under the film: their functions, the venue with directions, and their invitation to reply.
