Shubho drishti is the Bengali ritual of the auspicious first look, when the bride, carried on a wooden seat, lowers the betel leaves covering her face and she and the groom look at each other.
About Shubho drishti
It comes at the end of saat paak, after the bride is carried around the groom seven times. The guests cheer and blow conch shells as the couple's eyes meet, and then they exchange garlands in mala badal.
Many couples count it as the most special moment of the day.
