What should you know about Mangni?
In many Hindu families a mangni looks like a sagai: a puja, the ring exchange, gifts and a meal. In many Muslim families the groom's side visits the bride's home with a ring, clothes, sweets and sometimes jewellery, and the date of the nikah is often discussed or fixed that day.
The size varies a lot. Some families keep it to parents and grandparents; others make it a full evening with relatives and friends.
