Pag phera is the bride's first visit back to her parents' home after the wedding, after which the groom comes to bring her back with gifts.
About Pag phera
Usually the bride's brother comes to fetch her a day or a few days after the wedding. The groom follows to take her home, and her family welcomes him with a meal and gifts.
It gives the bride, and her parents, a gentle pause after the rush of the wedding. In many families the bride stays a night or two, and the groom is treated as an honoured guest when he comes to take her back.
